Our Story
In the serene village of Mutare, nestled in the shadow of the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe, Farai, a young man was born and raised. Farai grew up cooking with family where every meal held stories of tradition and love. Farai developed an unyielding passion for cooking in those formative years.

Over the years Farai cooked for his family, and friends alike and he even ventured into the world of catering. However, his eureka moment happened in 2022, as he hosted a BBQ, he created a mango sauce which he called the "Swiss multitool of sauces" due the sauces' versatility in use.
Farai, contemplated and eventually an idea blossomed in his mind. "Why not create unique mango based sauces and share their magic with the world?" he thought. He blended mangoes with pungent chilies, simmered them with fragrant ginger, and let the spices dance. Each time he perfected a recipe, he invited friends and neighbours to taste. Their faces lit up, and soon, Farai's small house was a hub of culinary discovery and joy.
His first creation was a sweet mango sauce. The zesty and minty tang combined with the sweetness of mangoes delighted everyone who tasted it. Encouraged by their reactions, Farai continued to innovate, producing a range of sauces - from tangy mango barbecue to a rich, mango-infused chilli sauce.
Seeing the potential, Farai decided to brand his creations as "Sir Alphonso Mango All Purpose Sauces." Farai faced each setback—supply chain issues, financial constraints, and marketing challenges—with ingenuity and grit. He built a small processing hub in his kitchen and collaborated with graphic designers to create vibrant labels that told the story of his sauces and their origins.
Now that the Sir Alphonso Mango sauces are here, Farai’s dream grown. His sauces don't just add flavour; they tell a story of culture, community, and resilience. Farai hopes his sauces prove that a dream nurtured with passion and shared generously can uplift not just one but many, creating ripples of positive change in ever-widening circles.
